It's Christmas Party!!

We had our annual Olsen Family Christmas Party at Annalee and Jake's house. We had a lot of people as usual, good food, good company and lots of silly traditions..... When Grandma gives out her presents (PJ's). The kids all wait until everyone has a bag and they always have to tell each other not to peek. Then everyone opens them together and runs and puts them on for pictures. The kids exchange gifts. The older kids decided to put their gift money together and shop for a needy family instead. Great idea!

Here is another Christmas tradition in our family. Aunt Connie always gives us a new ornament for our Christmas tree. Each of the kids gets one too. My kids always like to get all of the ones they have received out and line them up. Then they put them on the tree. Here is Andrew with all his ornaments this year. Thanks Connie!

Competetive Shopping on Black Friday!

The girls decided to have a sleepover (but then we never slept) and go shopping the day after Thanksgiving. We had a great time. It is really funny to see all the thousands of people fighting over the bargains and lining up in the cold to get in the stores! I decided the new title for shopping on this day is competetive shopping! I nearly got tackled by a man trying to get something and I had two big boxes in my arms at the time! Dumb guy! We started at about 11:00 p.m.on Thanksgiving night and I got home around 11:00 the next morning. CRAZY I know, but fun to go with the girls.

Me, Tracy and Cheryl in front of a store. There was a policeman standing on top of his car trying to direct the line. It didn't work very well.

Tracy is guarding all our stuff at Wal-mart!

Cheryl and Melissa are very tired in line at Wal-mart!
I guess we should have brought a bigger car!

Breakfast at Sconecutter!

Thanksgiving!

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Cheryl and Scott's house. We had a pretty big crowd with my mom and dad, sisters and some of their kids and grandkids. My aunts, some of the cousins and their kids were also there. It was a great meal and good to see everyone and catch up!

Everybody getting ready to eat!

Football Banquet

Wednesday night we had a football banquet for Andrew's football team out at Bella's Restaurant. We had good food, great company and a lot of VERY LOUD BOYS! The highlight dvd was definitely the best movie they had ever seen! I guess they all have very healthy self-esteem. It was a good end to a great season!

Silly Boys!

Brett got the boys some cool trophies!

Halloween Pictures!

This year I was all alone for Halloween. Brett went to help at the mini-bowl football games, Matt went to work, Jordan went to hang out with friends and Andrew went trick-or-treating and to a party with his friends. Ryker and Melissa came by and ate with us, but then it was just me and book and the 10 million little trick-or-treaters that came by! I kind of miss going trick or treating with my little kids!

Ryker looked very cute as Luke Skywalker!

Andrew was a Hippie (I had to show him how to make a peace sign though)

Has It Really Been That Long?

I guess I need to post an update, Funny, nothing seems to be happening, but we stay busy. Time just flies by!! So just a LONG update on our happenings.

1. Jordan had surgery on his shoulder. He is busy doing nothing at home while he recovers. He had six anchors put in and will need six months to be back to normal. He is getting bored with being home and wishes he had a job (one he can do with the shoulder) so he would have some money and could start school. He wouldn't let me take a picture on him in the hospital or I would post one now...

2. Andrew played and Brett and Matt coached for the very first season of South Weber Knights football. The team finished 6 - 2 - 1. It was a great first year and everyone had a good time. I will post some cool pictures later...

3. Thomas and Ashley got married. Congratulations guys!

4. Ryker played his first soccer season. He thought it was pretty cool and took it very seriously. He called me and let me know if I missed a game! He told me he had to steal the ball from his own team to score. He would wave at me after every goal. Very Cool!

5. Matt had his 20th birthday. I guess that means I am really old if I have two kids that are no longer KIDS!

6. Jaymie and Mark had a little baby, James who died. It was very sad for the whole family and we will miss having little James here. We love you Jaymie, Mark and James!

7. We had a fun lunch to celebrate Connie's birthday with the girls. It was so fun to be with all the girls. We love to get together and eat, shop or do crafts. Out mothers got together, then my generation joined them and now we bring our daughters and granddaughters.

8. It was Halloween - I forgot those pictures so I will post them later. It was kind of sad to have no one to trick-or-treat with! Andrew went with his buddies...
9. Brett's birthday is today. He is older than I am for a month and three days. Don't let him tell you any different!

10. It is the 3rd anniversay of Nate's death today. This always makes me sad. We still miss him and think of him all the time. We love you Nate!

August was a Busy Month!!

South Weber Days - We spent the day hanging out down at the park enjoying the friends, food, and fun activities. This is Andrew with some of his friends listening to a band.
This is Andrew and his friends getting ready for the eating contest! Believe or not Andrew loves eating contests (as long as the food - pudding in this case - is something he likes!)
This is Andrew and the other South Weber football players in the South Weber Days parade! This is the first year for South Weber football. Go Knights!
Grandpa and Ryker waiting for the parade!
Melissa and Ryker before the parade
Matt (with Ryker) on his first game day as a "Jr. Football Coach Trainee"
The First Game for the new South Weber Knights Pee Wee Team. Brett and Scott Peterson spent 10 million hours getting it together and organized. There were a million tiny details to get it started! They had to raise $25,000.00. Pick out uniforms , order equipment, prepare the field, register everyone, apply to the league, etc.... Finally the first game day! Andrew's team won the first game with a score of 6 - 0!
Andrew showing his new football uniform.
And finally to end August - the first day of school! Andrew is so happy!! I had to go back to so I do know how he feels!
