Catching Up.....

CHERRY HILLS:
Tracy and I have been taking the kids and grandkids to Cherry Hills every summer. It is a pretty fun day. I am a big fan of floating around on the Lazy River!

25 Random Things About Me (UPDATE TO SEE IF ANYTHING HAS CHANGED!)

1. I am trying to lose weight (always)
2. I am kind of ADD about projects (I have about 45 going) and reading (I have about 25 books on my night stand)
3. I love to do projects (see #2)
4. I love to read (see #2)
5. I love sports, especially football, basketball and lacrosse. I don't play anymore - I watch
6. I wear pajamas or work out clothes whenever I am not somewhere requiring better clothing! I wear slippers to work sometimes. (no one can notice under your desk - flip flops don't work in the winter so it is necessary)
7. I pay lots of board games with my grandson and he can beat me fair and square.
8. I used to be a neat freak (but don't worry, I got over it!)
9. I am afraid of heights (but I hike anyway and try to get over it)
10. I love the show "The Amazing Race" and never miss it if I can help it. New shows I like are "Modern Family" and "The Big Bang Theory" and "Glee"
11. I like to cook new recipes, but hate to plan and cook anything else!
12. I love to go out with the girls, I have my relative girls, my neighbor girls, my Dugway girls, etc....(this could be a problem with #1)
13. I love brownies and diet coke with lime and crushed ice (which I am not supposed to drink, because of my heart rhythm problem) the most!! I am planning on serving these at my funeral! I am trying to find the best brownies ever so I will know what to serve. It takes a lot of research.
14. I love to ride snowmobiles and 4-wheelers, but I hate to ride behind someone. I am a control freak and I always have to drive.
15. I like people - I have not met too many people that I don't like at least something about them.
16. Over the last few years, life has dealt us some blows - I find that although I lived through them, they made me weaker not stronger. They made me re-thing a lot of things.
17. My two favorite books are "The Blue Castle" and "Mrs. Mike" .
18. The last book I read was "Until You" - a historical romance. I don't read romances much anymore. It was very escapist!
19. I watched the entire super bowl including commercials and the special episode of "Glee".
20. I should get extra points for staying focused enough to finish this shouldn't I??
21. The worst thing that has happened is watching my son-in-law die of a brain tumor.
22. That still makes me cry.
23. I can't decide if I like to work or not. Some days I want to quit and other days I can't imagine not working.
24. I worry about some of the kids here. Otherwise, I would never have to take my work home with me!
25. I love my family (most of the time).
26. Oh dear, not much has changed! I guess I better learn to expand my interests or somthing!

I HAVE....gotten rid of lots of unfinished projects!
I WISH I COULD....get skinny without dieting and be rich!!
I HATE....to be worried about things out of my control
I FEAR....that the legacy I will leave my kids and grandkids is my heart problem!
I SEARCH....for ways to change things for the better
I DON'T THINK....I am very good at life!
I REGRET....not finishing my college degree
I LOVE....my family
I LOVE TO....go out with the girls!
I ACHE FOR....some of my students
I ALWAYS CRY....when I think of Nate
I DANCE....when I want to embarass my children
I SING....in the morning when I want to wake up the kids. Never doubt the power of the hymn "Wake Up and Do Something More" (is that a title?)
I NEVER....turn down a good brownie!
I RARELY....put down a good book
I CRY WHEN I WATCH....movies where the good guy dies!
I AM NOT ALWAYS....that good at being the mom and wife! I do try though!
I HATE THAT....days go by too fast for me to finish...
I'M CONFUSED ABOUT....how do do life
I NEED....to read a book
I SHOULD....do a super duper cleaning job on my house! (but don't hold your breath).
