Summer Updates!

Summer is speeding by...It is already half over! This is what we are doing....

1. Brett is working a new job and has no vacation! Sucks for him!

2. Andrew has a billion friends and spends a ton of time going to Lagoon, laser tag, swimming, bowling and always - PARTIES ! They like to have night games every night.

3. Matt and Jordan are working...Matt is taking a summer class at Weber State.

4. I have been cleaning stuff out like crazy!! I am trying to throw away one box per day....I haven't hit every single day, but I have done plenty!

5. Melissa and Ryan are planning their wedding (August 5th).

Earlier in June, Andrew made the all-star lacrosse team. This extended the season a few weeks and they took the team up to Park City for a three day tournament. They won all 5 of their games and we all had a fabulous time!

Here are some pictures:

Jaime and Andrew are happy!!

The kids rode the zip line at the Olympic Park.

It was tiring!

The Team!

We stayed in a condo with Andrew, Jaime, Daxten and Cade. The boys met up with Hunter and Nathan for swimming, eating and touring. There were vendors selling lacrosse stuff. That was a big hit with the kids! They all got some cool lacrosse socks. Some of the family came up and watched a few games. Thanks! The weather was beautiful and we all a great time!

We haven't done much else this summer...just the usual! A few more highlights:
1. Andrew and Brett went on a 12 mile hike with the scouts. Pretty tough!
2. I bought a cool new shelf and table to organize my sewing and craft area. It looks really cool!
3. I have been to lunch with the girls - A LOT!
4. Connie's dog Farley was good enough to have a party for all the kids. That was fun!
5. Read some good books!
I guess (after reading this) that we should do something really big and fun or at least really constructive!! Oh well!

Sand Hollow

We went down to St. George for Memorial Day Weekend. It has not been warm up here at all, but it was beautiful down there! The beach was awesome. It has the coolest sand ever! We went boating on Saturday with Tracy and Cheryl and families. All the adults went out to dinner Saturday night. Sunday, we went to Zion's and took the shuttle through the park. We did a little hiking, but not too much. It was very crowded there, but still fun to see! I haven't been there for a long time!

Andrew & Brody are playing a "minute to win it" They have

to get the oreo into their mouths with no hands!

Dugway Girls Night Out!

Many, many (so many I probably won't say here) years ago.......I met these girls when I was growing up in Dugway. We have stayed friends ever since. We started meeting for dinner about 5 years or so out of high school and after a few years made it an annual event!
It is funny how you can go a year without really talking to someone and just pick up where you left off. We always have plenty to talk about. We laugh so hard! I LOVE YOU GIRLS!
P.S. I missed you girls that couldn't come this year! See you next year! I will have to post some pictures from years ago.....that will be coming!

Andrew's Birthday!

It was not really Andrew's year to have a friend birthday party...but he talked me into a "small" party and night games. He did invite a lot of kids, but most of them couldn't come with the short notice he gave them, but his buddies were mostly there and they had a great time!

Brogan, Andrew and Jrue....Happy Birthday to you!

Cake!

Andrew's friend Elle brought her dance friends.
They brought Andrew a nice princess crown and earrings!

Always a ball game!

Everyone likes to be in the picture!

Lava Hot Springs and the Pocatello Jamboree

We went to Pocatello for the Lacrosse Jamboree. We decided to make it a little mini-vacation. We let Andrew and his friend Cade swim at the hotel, play in the tournament and then we went to Lava Hot Springs afterwards. Our other friends the Gertges and Marroquins also stayed and went with us. It was freezing at the games so the hot springs felt fabulous!!

The boys are very cool in their shades!

Poor cold, cold spectators!

Andrew's Newest Sports Obsession! LACROSSE!

Andrew has a need to keep busy all the time. SO,he plays football in the fall, basketball for 6 or 7 months and then baseball. Baseball isn't his favorite sport so he and Brett found a new one - LACROSSE!! They bought all kinds of new sports equipment to fill up my garage. They got some of Andrew's buddies to play and they have been having a blast! As near as I can tell, lacrosse is all about hitting whoever has the ball with a stick as hard as you can...then knocking them down and taking the ball. NO WONDER THE BOYS LOVE IT! Andrew's team is all first year players. They have been doing awesome. They lost their first two games, but have won the rest. Andrew has been scoring a lot of goals and loving practice and
Andrew is a Team Captain

Oops! Andrew is the one on the ground.
