Andrew's Birthday - My Baby is 11 Years Old!

We had a basketball banquet at Ligori's on Andrew's birthday. The boys had a great year and we decided to have a dinner to end the season.

Trophies for winning the league!

After the banquet, Andrew had some of the guys over to play games and have cake and ice cream. They wanted to play night games and thought they would call some girls over to play with them. This took quite awhile (because they weren't very brave) and it was very entertaining for Melissa, Brett and I (hopefully they won't read this - they were very chicken on the phone after all their big talking). They finally (after much talking, teasing and laughing) managed to make a few calls and got three of their friends to come over. I guess they did a bit of door bell ditching (sorry everyone!).

The birthday still wasn't over! Andrew wanted a friend birthday party this year so we had planned it for the next weekend! This party was billed (by Andrew) as the "air soft gun war of the year". Matt and I took the boys down to a park and let them have at it. We had a fire and roasted hot dogs and had s'mores.

Mother's Day!

Tracy, my mom, me and Cheryl on Mother's Day

We had a barbeque and swimming party for Mother's day. We took thousands of pictures, but didn't get too many really cute ones! Thanks mom for always being there for us, for teaching us things, for caring about our kids, for advice, for entertainment and taking care of dad! We love you!
The party kind of took a turn into the normal (or abnormal - depends on how you look at it) Peterson party with a game of faceball. In case you have never played this game (you probably haven't YET because we just made it up). It is when you have to keep the ball on the table by blowing really hard. If it goes off your side YOU LOSE!

You are supposed to keep your chin on the table

Melissa likes to think she is more normal than me (but is she really??)

5th Grade is Full of Projects!

Andrew and Jrue in front of Andrew's Alaska project.

Fifth grade has been full of projects....It seemed like Andrew spent the year doing lots of different big projects - reports, science fair, etc.... He loved it. We found out lots of good stuff about Alaska. We really need to go there now.

Jordan is 18!!

Jordan is 18 years old! (Three down one to go!) Happy Birthday Jordan! He is busy getting ready for graduation and a future career in the medical field. He is planning on taking EMT courses to get started. Good Luck - We Love you Jordan!

Jordan has a new short "more mature" haircut! He is thinking of going back to the old one though! Hard to adjust!

Long hair!

Easter Egg Hunts....Tradition!

We always have an Easter Egg Hunt/Spring Birthday Bash on the Peterson side of the family and a big wild East Egg Hunt in Grandma Olsen's big yard on the Olsen side of the family. I love family traditions. It is fun to see how the kids have grown up. So many of them have families of their own now!

Ryker loves finding eggs....We had to hunt eggs inside Cheryl's house. It was very cold!

Melissa and Ryker at Grandma Olsen's house. It was much warmer...

East Egg Hunting can be an extreme sport at Grandma Olsen's House.

Snowmobiling in the Spring!

We spent the weekend up at our cabin snowmobiling. Snowmobiling into the cabin on Friday evening was so beautiful. The sunset was awesome (but my camera wouldn't take picture, it said it was too cold). Saturday was sunny, the snow deep and the snowmobiling was awesome!

Brett and I are very cool snowmobilers....It is pretty fun to go without the kids...It is a lot less work!

This is me on my snowmobile. My husband bought this one for me for Mother's day (supposedly). He really just wanted to have another cool mountain machine...so I chose a nice bright yellow and named it sunshine (and added a really cute sticker).

Tracy and I were learning how to jump on our snowmobiles. I tried about 20 times and finally was brave enough to get some air. Brett said my jump was okay, but he was better. I told him to prove it....He tried, but went way too fast and ended up crashing on his face....Boys will always be boys!

Snow Angels...My sister and I always make snow angels...I have made them in lots of cool place (check out Two Tops up by Yellowstone!!)

The sun was awesome - I needed a suntan! It all works!

Sometimes you can go ice climbing in a deep, deep hole!!

Bottom Line....snowmobiling makes all this snow we are having now much easier to take!

More and More Basketball!

It seems like we go to a lot of basketball games. Andrew has had two a week since October! It has been really fun. The boys have won most of their games and a couple of championships. Brett loves to coach and the boys have a blast being sports buddies!

They won t-shirts for the Weber County Championship.

New Uniforms!

There are still 8 more weeks of only one games a week...but then baseball starts!
